Basic Info

Ovid is an anthro sheep (basically, a humanoid, with nice ram horns; I wasn't as big a furry as I am now when I made him) who works as the bellwether on a local sheep farm. He grew up surrounded by ewes and as such picked up a lot of hobbies at their prodding, particularly sewing, knitting, crochet, and weaving. He loves to make little things for the sheep and for his friends. That said, Ovid's real passion is reading, and when he isn't working he's often buried in a book. He prefers to read philosophy, but he's recently gotten into poetry as well.

A kind and sweet boy, Ovid isn't without his quirks. He doesn't like being disturbed when his attention is on something, and if he feels some sort of idea or activity is beneath him, he'll frown and bleat. But his displeasure rarely manifests in more ways than that. He doesn't like being alone, even when he's reading, and can only feel totally calm when someone is close by.

He and the farmer trust each other more than they trust almost anyone else, and as such Ovid and his boyfriend Buck have been given free reign over the farm's operation and the farmhouse's interior. Ovid sees his custodianship of the farm as an honor, and as a way to repay the man who essentially gave him a perfect, peaceful life.

Deeply in love with Buck, Ovid dislikes being separated from him for too long, though he knows Buck has to go wandering. He knows they're always together, even when they're apart.

Physical Description

Ovid is a little shorter than Buck. He's always wearing woolly sweaters. He has very fluffy white hair. He usually wears jeans or other pants suitable for walking and working.

None of that matters to him, though. What's important is the bell he always wears around his neck. It's the symbol of his role, his responsibility, and his life, and he wears it with immense pleasure and pride. His presence is always heralded by its tones.
